Amazing set of four "DS-47" seatings, manufactured by De Sede in Switzerland, circa 1970s The set contains two easy chairs and two two-seat sofas, made of the highest quality buffalo leather in a unique patinated cognac color leather. All remains in excellent and original condition. The leather and construction are very good vintage shape, making this set an absolutely incredible find with a wonderful patina !.The seating parts from all sofas can be extended by pulling them, making it possible to create a real "lounge sofa". They are very comfortable and would make an amazing addition to any interior. Easy-chair H 28.5 in. x W 35 in. x D 35 in. Two-seat sofa is H 28.5 in. x W 55 in. x D 35 in. Seat height 16.5 in. De Sede has its origins in a small but skilled saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. The craftsmen there committed themselves to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. Their years of experience and diligence enabled them to create handcrafted leather furniture of singular quality. In 1965, the family-run business became a joint-stock company called De Sede AG, but remained faithful to their original guiding principles. The company developed rapidly from this moment onwards: top designers of international caliber were brought on board to create seating furniture, additional manufacturing facilities were opened, and an international distribution network was established. Sophisticated designs that skillfully integrate traditional and precise Swiss workmanship swiftly gained the brand an international reputation. Today, De Sede AG presents itself as a leading manufacturer of exclusive leather furniture. Out of the original small workshop, a company has emerged that employs over 140 people and distributes furniture in more than 40 countries, including the United States and Russia, the Arab world, and even emerging markets such as China and Brazil. De Sede AG has been owned by a Swiss investment group since 2012.
